MEET SKILLED APPRENTICES | APPRENTICE & TRAINEE OF THE YEAR AWARDS
The annual SKILLED Apprentice & Trainee of the Year Awards Program was introduced in December 2003 to recognise and highlight worker's achievements in the categories of 'Best Apprentice' and 'Best Trainee'. SKILLED has a firm commitment to the development of high quality, effective vocational education and training programs - a commitment that represents a major contribution to the development of skills in Australia and to career opportunities for young people.
Nominations are submitted by Field Supervisors late in the year once a call out for nominations has been placed. Based on stringent criteria, which considers performance, outcomes, goals and attitude, judges undertake a thorough selection process to choose recipients once nominations are closed. Award recipients receive a cheque and certificate in recognition of their achievement and celebrate their achievement at a special awards ceremony. Meet the Apprentice of the Year and Trainee of the Year for 2003.
This Awards Program represents SKILLED's ongoing dedication to lifting the profile of trades and necessary vocations in the community and ensuring the long-term availability of quality skills to business and industry.
SKILLED's sponsorship of state government training awards programs further demonstrates SKILLED's commitment to the recognition of achievements by apprentices and trainees in developing Australia's workforce for the future:
