Since the start of the 2002 AFL season, following a 2 year sponsorship agreement and subsequently a further 5 year agreement between the club and SKILLED, Geelong Football Club's Kardinia Park home has been known as SKILLED Stadium.
The SKILLED Stadium sponsorship continues a long association between SKILLED and the Geelong area.
SKILLED opened the Geelong branch in the mid 90's with 25 employees. This has grown to over 350 employees with over 50 major clients utilising SKILLED's services across a very diverse range of industries. SKILLED also sponsor many other events in the Geelong region from the Bay Cycling Classic, a sponsorship that has been ongoing for 9 years now, to the Festival of Sail, and charities, including the Lions Club, Rotary and United Way, currently celebrating it's 50th year in Geelong.
It is easy to see how this partnership be formed when you take a look at the long history of commitment and success enjoyed in the Geelong region and in sport by both SKILLED and the Geelong Football Club.
SKILLED enjoy many benefits from the partnership with the Geelong Football Club including the development of relationships with businesses in the greater Geelong area and indeed with our co-sponsors, all at a great sporting event, which is core to the heart of most within the Geelong community.
The sponsorship has in the past, and will continue to facilitate, many great events and experiences, including:
- Sponsor Lunches
- Employee Functions
- Business Networking Opportunities
- Client Functions and
- Interstate Football Functions
SKILLED also has a unique business relationship with the Geelong Football Club, providing the ground staff on match days for SKILLED Stadium.
Australian football is a game of great skill and a stadium by that name is highly appropriate for a young and talented side like Geelong.

SKILLED has a unique sponsorship arrangement with the V8 Supercar Holden Racing Team. Similar to the last few years our benefits remain the same and the SKILLED logo appears on the race cars but the big point of difference is that SKILLED now also appears heavily on the HRT Pit Crew apparel.
SKILLED decided to brand the pit crew after seeing first hand how professional and widely regarded they are as the finest mechanics and behind-the-scenes personnel in the motor sport industry.
SKILLED realised that, like the labour in any organisation, the pit crew are a vital part of HRT and if they are not highly SKILLED and dedicated, then production and performance suffers.
In the 11 years since the introduction of the V8 Touring Car category in Australia, the Holden Racing Team has through its people and sponsor group, become the most successful team of the V8 Supercar era.
To the end of the 2004 season, HRT had won 5 consecutive V8 Supercar/Australian Touring Car Championships, and has won 6 of the past 8 titles since 1996. This record is now unsurpassed in Australian Touring Car racing since the inception of the championship in 1960.
SKILLED's relationship with the Holden Racing Team has gone from strength to strength over the years and SKILLED look forward to many years of benefit and enjoyment of being a partner with the Holden Racing Team.

SKILLED has been a supporter and sponsor of V8 Supercar driver Jason Bright for many years now and it is the longest concurrent sponsorship that SKILLED has been involved in.
Jason's first association with SKILLED was back in 1993 when he started work with the company as a fitter and turner. At the same time, Jason was also starting out in his driving career competing in the Formula Ford open wheel racing series. SKILLED identified then that Jason was a talented driver and had excellent personal qualities and decided to assist Jason financially and support his motor racing career.
By 1995, Jason (with SKILLED as his major personal sponsor) was the No.1 driver in Formula Ford and had won the series. Jason was also nominated for the Australian Motorsportsman of the Year Award.
In 1996, Jason moved up into the Formula Holden category and by 1997 had won this series convincingly which prompted an offer by Pirtek Ford Racing to join their V8 Supercar team. As a result of this move SKILLED not only continued with the sponsorship of Jason but also began a sponsorship of his racing team.
The FAI Bathurst 1000 of 1998 was where Jason really made his name, finishing 1st in the most prestigious motor racing event in the country. By the end of 1999 Jason proved his class by finishing as the highest average qualifier in the V8 Supercars Series.
Jason then spent a year in the USA racing Indy Lights (the category below Indy Cars) before returning to Australia to join what is regarded as the finest motor racing team in the country, the Holden Racing Team. He performed extremely well for HRT in 2001 & 2002 finishing 3rd & 4th respectively in the overall series standings.
In 2003, Jason moved over to arguably the most famous name in Australian motorsport, Team Brock as the No.1 driver where he continued to demonstrate why he is regarded as one of the premier racecar drivers in the country.
In 2004 Team Brock changed names to PWR (Paul Wheel Racing).
SKILLED are thrilled and proud to boast that we have been the major supporter of Jason Bright since the beginning of his professional driving career and still believe, as we did from the start, that he is an exceptional talent and one of the genuine 'nice guys' in Australian sport.

SKILLED and the Burnie Ten have become synonymous since 1999 in what has developed into a mutually beneficial and extremely successful marketing and partnership agreement.
The SKILLED Burnie Ten is Australia's premier 10 km road race and takes place in the heart of Burnie's central business district, on Tasmania's North-West Coast.
The SKILLED Burnie Ten has received gold status in a new Running Australia framework, alongside the nation's best distance running events. Placed in the same category as the Sydney Marathon, the Noosa Half Marathon, the Gold Coast Marathon and the Run to the G, the Burnie Ten has been recognised by Running Australia as a top tier event in the sport. The inclusion in the elite event category is a huge step towards the 10 km foot race being included in a new and lucrative national series.
Even though the race is open to everyone, regularly attracting close to 2500 runners, the primary focus is the world-class athletes that are drawn back year after year. From across the globe they come to race, with winners including names such as Steve Moneghetti (4 times), Shaun Creighton (3 times), Kylie Risk (twice), Susie Power and last years winner and the most promising middle distance runner Australia has had for many, many years, Craig Mottram.
SKILLED has been the naming rights sponsor to the Burnie Ten since 1999 and has committed to continue the partnership at least until the completion of the race in 2006.
The combination of SKILLED's partnership with Australia's premier 10 km road race and the extensive brand recognition received through television, radio, press and website technology is, without a doubt, a winning formula for SKILLED and the Burnie Ten.
