SKILLED regards environmental care as an integral part of its business, and is committed to excellence in the management of environmental matters. SKILLED aims to minimise environmental impacts at every stage of work, from planning through to mobilisation, operations and demobilisation.
SKILLED acknowledges a responsibility to train and promote awareness of environmental issues amongst employees, sub-contractors and the general public.
Environmental awareness will be promoted throughout all levels of the organisation by:
- Employment of dedicated environmental affairs Managers / Consultants as required to meet specific operational needs
- Focused training of staff on environmental issues as it impacts on their work roles
- Incorporation of Environmental Performance Criteria in job descriptions and performance assessments
- SKILLED's business operations will be managed with regard to:
Compliance with relevant Environmental Acts, Licences and Agreements Environmental Commitments and Agreements entered-into by Clients SKILLED will always strive to:
- Identify, mitigate and rectify potential environmental impacts of our activities
- Provide safeguards and contingency plans to mitigate potential environmental impacts
